It is almost four o’clock, in the morning my dear readers! It’s insane. I don’t feel tired at all. I’m one of the many people that work better when it’s dark outside and there is less traffic and almost no people are online (but then with friends all around the world, this is not a reason anymore). But, working until almost four is maybe a bit, aehm, let’s call it problematic. Especially when one has to work at nine o’clock on Friday. So to break the habit I stayed awake until nine (!!!) on Tuesday and then had a four hour nap and hoped to get tired early but no, worked until late again. This is not a good rhythm. But I have no idea what to do about it…
At least I got a lot of writing done and I am now onto the analysing part of my thesis and then conclusion and results and stuff. But mostly I am afraid of quotes and the appendix and list of references… Or maybe the statistics for my anlysing part? Aaaaah! This is all insane!
life had been very busy lately but I have something really fun coming up and am in a very happy place right now, or just as happy as one can be with the deadline of the final thesis being like end of May?! Haha.
So what has happened? I went to Desden with my lacrosse team and we came second in the Lax in the Box tournament! Which is just insane! My knee was and is still hurting a lot though but coming second?!? So awesome! We even got a medal!!!
I’ve been at university almost all week long and working with the data from my eye tracking experiment! It has been nerve wracking but also very interesting and the whole thing has so much potential, I have to watch out not to get too much into it all as I’m only writing a bachelors thesis right now and not yet a masters!
On Sunday is the last game of this season and it is a win win situation as in its either us or the other team who will get a place for the play offs! So we want to win this game so badly and it would be just amazing to go to the play offs!!! It would be such a great ending to my time playing for Victoria Lacrosse Berlin!
Time is flying bye so so quickly. I still have so much things to organise before my move to Australia and I can’t really do any of them as I have my head focused on my thesis!
Weather in berlin is getting nicer and nicer and I’ve been wearing my Birkenstocks and dresses without tights! So awesome! Well I leave the house in the mornings with leggings and as soon as I’m at university the leggings go straight into my backpack 🙂
I went to a talk about the Russian Ukrainians crisis at the GMF in berlin and it was very interesting and I’ve learnt a lot!
But now I’m going to sleep. I have to get up extra early tomorrow cause the train personnel is on strike and I have no clue how easy it will be for me to get to work tomorrow morning as I have to take the Sbahn and not the Ubahn which I take to get to university…
Oh and tomorrow night we have lacrosse team night at my place! All the girls at mine and we will order food and talk and have a great time 🙂
I also hope to record a new podcast episode on Saturday with a special giveaway coming up!
So. I had big plans, very big plans. And then my normal routine came back and all the motivation and energy had run away…
I created so many posts and things I wanted to share in my head, I actually have a list written down of what I want to share but, life gets in the way…
So, today is Monday and I’m going to tell you a little bit about my week, what my plans are and what I want to do, and hopefully this will help me to organise my life a little bit better…
Monday: work on my thesis, go babysitting, organise with my flatmate for someone to sublease one of our rooms, transfer some money
Tuesday: work on my thesis, go babysitting
Wednesday: working, go to the library and get a book (Potsdam)
Friday: have the option to work, but not sure, if not, thesis!
Saturday: work on thesis
Sunday: work on thesis
My main goal for this week is to finish writing my research proposal!
Talk to my lecturer about the questions I have and
finish knitting my Nurmilintu, or well, I will run out of yarn soon anyway so should think about what to do then…
This is how the entry hallway of my flat looked like yesterday. Today, all gone. And I am finally able to enter my bedroom! I am happy about it, it is finally done. I am not happy about how it all went down and how it looks like now. Of course, a new bathroom is great, and the small room next to it is new too, but the mess that came with it. Not so happy.
So I started cleaning my room. I have to wash all my fabrics that been out, as in curtains, bed clothes, quilts, pillows, rugs. And I have to clean every surface from the dust that entered my room through the closed doors. and boy, it is dirty.
So the second washing machine is running, and I cleaned my desk and am finally sitting on my computer again! It has been ages and iMail got angry at me and iPhoto etc. But finally it all slowed down and I can enjoy sitting here and writing these words.
Tomorrow I have a small presentation in my law class and in the evening I am taking the train down to my parent place. I kind of wish I would stay in Berlin, clean up my room more, move back in and have fun with my friends here. There is a big Lacrosse Party on saturday but I decided to go south for my best friends housewarming party. And I am kind of looking forward to not cleaning… haha. But I have quite a lot to do down there. I want to sew new dresses for my little niece, her birthday is coming up, and I want to knit. Especially because I am taking part in the GermanScarfSwap and I haven’t started yet, nor any ideas what I will do. I want to knit but am wondering if it will be done in time… it is supposed to be at the post by the 16th of feb! oh oh, not much time left…
ok. I am doing my uni work, and cleaning and I promise I will safe all my travel pictures to my computer soon and start writing those posts about Tasmania and yarn in Australia etc. looking forward to it!
So time is flying by so fast right now. But that is usually the case when you have a lot to do and not really enough time to get everything done.
So since I came back I haven’t been home much, just been working, babysitting, at university, at my ‘real’ job, physiotherapy and acupuncture… Today I went to three of the mentioned places, left the house at 07:50 and came back around 21:35 ! Too crazy!
I did knit today which is really nice. Been watching Knit All The Things, a really nice podcast by Cara from Wales and it is really nice to watch a knitting podcast by a young person 🙂 And I love her english accent too! I’ve been catching up with her episodes so now I am up to date again and I knitted on my Pigeon Jumper for my niece in Australia. I’m on the first sleeve now. The body was done in Chile! Now I’m writing here and watching the first episode by Little Bobbins Knits but when I look at my watch I should rather sleep!
I cancelled tomorrows morning babysitting which I am happy about. I watched the two kids today and the big one got a stomach bug which I have the feeling I got too cause I am feeling really weird in my stomach. So I am not in the best mood right now. And I got my pictures which I took with my La Sardinia analog Camera in Chile and most of them are just not nice. I don’t know what happened. I used the camera a lot but this roll is just really bad quality and I can’t really explain it. I am super sad! I did take my big digital camera and another analog one but because of my friends telling me about another of their friends who travelled alone being robbed I was a bit too afraid to take the big cameras with me especially because I was wandering the streets by myself a lot and I don’t speak Spanish… I did take a lot of pictures with my phone but they got into stupid iPhoto, which I just hate…
But, I got my boyfriends christmas calendar all done and I might even post it tomorrow so I have less to put in my suitcase! Which would actually be really nice! I already have so much to take and it is always a question of weight at the end. Never the space always the 30 kg
