What a mess!

IMG_6884_2

This is how the entry hallway of my flat looked like yesterday. Today, all gone. And I am finally able to enter my bedroom! I am happy about it, it is finally done. I am not happy about how it all went down and how it looks like now. Of course, a new bathroom is great, and the small room next to it is new too, but the mess that came with it. Not so happy.

So I started cleaning my room. I have to wash all my fabrics that been out, as in curtains, bed clothes, quilts, pillows, rugs. And I have to clean every surface from the dust that entered my room through the closed doors. and boy, it is dirty.

So the second washing machine is running, and I cleaned my desk and am finally sitting on my computer again! It has been ages and iMail got angry at me and iPhoto etc. But finally it all slowed down and I can enjoy sitting here and writing these words.

Tomorrow I have a small presentation in my law class and in the evening I am taking the train down to my parent place. I kind of wish I would stay in Berlin, clean up my room more, move back in and have fun with my friends here. There is a big Lacrosse Party on saturday but I decided to go south for my best friends housewarming party. And I am kind of looking forward to not cleaning… haha. But I have quite a lot to do down there. I want to sew new dresses for my little niece, her birthday is coming up, and I want to knit. Especially because I am taking part in the GermanScarfSwap and I haven’t started yet, nor any ideas what I will do. I want to knit but am wondering if it will be done in time… it is supposed to be at the post by the 16th of feb! oh oh, not much time left…

ok. I am doing my uni work, and cleaning and I promise I will safe all my travel pictures to my computer soon and start writing those posts about Tasmania and yarn in Australia etc. looking forward to it!

Back in Berlin

So I arrived back in berlin already a few days ago but, life is a giant mess right now. While I was gone our landlord finally decided to start fixing our flooring and bathroom problem, which we had since begin of July!
So in mid December a bunch of tradies came and started demolishing our bathroom and the room next to it, like completely demolish! A giant hole in the flat kind of thing, it only took them a day! And then new structure got in and before Christmas the new concrete floor was in and supposed to dry until after new year so they could continue working to be done by the time I would be back in Berlin. Ha ha. Let me laugh here, heavily. Of course they are not done, not even nearly.
I arrived to a flat almost completely covered in dust. My room, just grey, everywhere. I have to wash just everything. Thanks to my flatmates not covering my door properly :/ bummer.
So now I’m sleeping in one of my flatmates room while he is visiting his girlfriend, debating every time I need to use the bathroom if I really have to as I have to leave my building and enter another one via the courtyard and then three stories up again. Bummer.
So I’m not in a happy place right now, and some really important uni dates are coming up too, as in exams and projects and presentation and the finalisation of the topic for my thesis! All by the end of January.
And all I want is stay in bed (preferable my bed which I still have to wash) and knit while catching up on podcasts and tv series…

I am back but…

Its been more then 24 hours that I am back from my trip to Chile and I wish I could already leave again.
My shared flat looks like a bomb has exploded, well no not that bad, but you can see, three men lived here without watching the space, kind of.

I also already went to work today, around 8,5 hours. We drove to Poland to shop but they had a massive national holiday so no stored were open but it was a nice trip which I got to do with O who I don’t see that often, so never mind.

I also went out for dinner with my three men that I live with to Toca Rouge here in Berlin and it was divine. I shared a crazy cabbage and baby octopus salad as a starter with E and the other two had some roast beef rolls and then for dinner I had really spicy crunchy Scampi with a Mango and Tomatoe Salad and rice, while E had fish and the other two each had something with chicken. After that we walked to find a nice bar for another beer and then went home where I found my washing machine ready to hand up to dry. No fun.

I also uploaded heaps of pictured of the yarn I bought in Chile, but I hope I manage to write about my adventures there in its own post!

And now, good night. I have acupuncture, university classes and physiotherapy waiting for me tomorrow!
